Die Hauptfunktion einer Sonnenschlange besteht darin, schädliches Licht zu blockieren, das durch UV-Strahlen erzeugt wird, ohne das Bild zu verzerren und sogar seine Wahrnehmung und Schärfe zu erhöhen. Bei bestimmten Tätigkeiten ist es von entscheidender Bedeutung, eine Brille zu wählen, die über geeignete Filter verfügt, die die tatsächliche Wahrnehmung der Farben respektieren.

 

Um die Farbverzerrung zu minimieren, die zum Beispiel während des Fahrens gefährlich sein könnte, werden die Filter in der Regel grau, grün oder braun hergestellt. Diese beiden sind besonders empfehlenswert, da sie den Kontrast des wahrgenommenen Bildes verbessern.

 

Neben dem allgemeinen Gebrauch von Sonnenbrille, um sich vor Sonneneinstrahlung zu schützen oder Sehstörungen zu beheben, gibt es viele Berufe, in denen Augenschützer unverzichtbar sind. Diese Art von Brille dient dazu, das Eindringen von Gegenständen, Wasser oder Chemikalien in die Augen zu verhindern. Sie sind notwendig, um in Labors, zum Schweißen, in der Luftfahrt, in Astronomie und in vielen Sportarten wie Motorradfahren, Schwimmen oder Skifahren zu arbeiten. Sie sind auch in Bereichen wie der Chirurgie, in denen Lasertechnologie häufig eingesetzt wird, unerlässlich, und es ist notwendig, Augenschutz zu verwenden, um schädliche Wellenlängen zu blockieren, um Schäden zu vermeiden, die durch eine versehentliche Exposition verursacht werden können.

 

Deshalb müssen die Hersteller von Linsen und Augenschutzen sowie die Anwender selbst berücksichtigen, dass bestimmte Filter und Linsen die Wahrnehmung der Farbe verzerren, so dass sie die Arbeit ernsthaft beeinflussen können. In den Kontrollstellen, in denen die Anwender Schutzbrille benötigen und die Aufgabe darin besteht, die Qualität der Produkte nach ihrem Aussehen auszuwählen, liefert die Farbe wichtige Informationen und muss zuverlässig sein.
