AKTIVA Energie hat die Photovoltaik-Solaranlage in Betrieb genommen Sishen, die 216 GWh (Gigawatt Stunden) der jährlichen Stromerzeugung, wird die größte Produktion unter den derzeit auf dem afrikanischen Kontinent tätigen sein. Die überwiegend von dem Unternehmen betriebene Photovoltaikanlage ist die erste von ACCIONA in Südafrika gebaute Photovoltaische Anlage, ein Markt mit hohem Wachstumspotenzial im Bereich der erneuerbaren Energien.

 

Die Pflanze besteht aus 94,3 MWp (Megawatt mit Spitzenleistung) -74 MW nominell - und befindet sich in der Gemeinde Dibeng, Provinz Northern Cape, im Nordwesten des Landes. Die außergewöhnliche Solarressource des Gebiets und die Konfiguration der Anlage mit horizontalen Überwachungsstrukturen, die Photovoltaik-Panels in die Lage versetzen, beim Sonnenaufgang mehr Strahlung zu erfassen, wird es diesem Kraftwerk ermöglichen, jährlich Strom zu erzeugen, der dem Verbrauch von etwa 100.000 südafrikanischen Haushalten entspricht, wobei die Emission von 208.000 Tonnen CO2 in Kohlekraftwerken in die Atmosphäre vermieden wird.

 

Auf etwa einer Fläche von250 Hektar, die Anlage besteht aus 470 Solar-Tracking-Strukturen, in denen insgesamt 319.600 Photovoltaik-Module. In gerader Linie würden die Reihen der in jede Struktur integrierten Paneelen - 17 Balken von 41 Metern Länge - 327 Kilometer erreichen. 

 

Die Produktion wird auf der Grundlage eines langfristigen Energieverkaufsvertrags (PPA) an das Stromnetz des öffentlichen Unternehmens Eskom geliefert.

 

 "Sishens Inbetriebnahme ist für uns ein Meilenstein von großer Bedeutung, da es sich um die größte Photovoltaikanlage unseres Unternehmens in der Welt handelt und weil sie unsere erste erneuerbare Anlage in Südafrika ist, einem Land, in dem wir hoffen, unsere Präsenz deutlich zu erhöhen," so Rafael Matteo, CEO für Energiezusammenarbeit. "Wir freuen uns, zur Verwirklichung der Ziele Südafrikas beizutragen, um ein nachhaltigeres Energiesystem zu erreichen und Arbeitsplätze und einen Mehrwert im Land zu schaffen," fügte er hinzu.

 

 

Fast tausend Arbeitsplätze in der Bauphase

 

Das Projekt von Sishen wurde vom südafrikanischen Energieministerium in der zweiten Runde des Renewable Energy Independent Power Producer Procurement Program (REIPPPP) genehmigt, das die Beteiligung erneuerbarer Energien an der von Kohle dominierten nationalen Energiemix um mehr als 70% steigern soll. Die REIPPP hat sich auf ein Ziel von 3.725 MW für erneuerbare Technologien, die in fünf Runden verteilt sind und voraussichtlich 2015 stattfinden werden, geeinigt.
