
Amazon wird in Madrid ein Software-Entwicklungszentrum in dem Funktionen und Dienste für die fünf in Europa tätigen E-Commerce-Plattformen entwickelt werden. Dies wird der erste sein 'Tech hub"dass Amazon in seiner Geschichte ausschließlich die Entwicklung von Funktionen und Diensten für seine europäischen Websites, die in Großbritannien, Frankreich, Deutschland, Italien und Spanien.
Das neue Zentrum wird 1.700 Quadratmeter groß und liegt am Paseo de la Castellana, wodurch das Unternehmen zum ersten Mal im Zentrum von Madrid betreten wird, wo es auch die Hälfte der Ingenieure, die für Amazon Business in Pozuelo de Alarcón arbeiten, mitnehmen wird.
Seit Beginn seiner Geschäftstätigkeit in Spanien (2011) hat Amazon im Land mehr als 800 feste Arbeitsplätze geschaffen, und zwar sowohl in seinen Geschäftsbüros als auch in seinem Logistikzentrum in San Fernando de Henares (Madrid), das mehr als doppelt so groß sein wird und in Kürze in El Prat del Llobregat (Barcelona) noch weitere Arbeitsplätze schaffen wird.
Einbeziehung von Ingenieuren in das Projekt
Das neue technische Team, dem sie beitraten 50 Software-Ingenieurewird eine Schlüsselrolle dabei spielen, die Erfahrung der Millionen von Kunden, die über diese Seiten kaufen, zu verbessern, indem sie Innovationen sowohl im Bereich der Anpassung und des automatischen Lernens als auch im Bereich der erweiterten Suche entwickelt.
