Ein von einem Team aragonischer Ingenieure entworfener Weltraumroboter wurde von der NASA aus 500 Projekten aus aller Welt ausgewählt, um am Ende des SpaceApps-Wettbewerbs, den die amerikanische Raumfahrtbehörde jedes Jahr organisiert, zu konkurrieren.
Das Team besteht aus vier Ingenieuren unterschiedlichen Alters, die einen Roboter entwickelt haben, der in der Lage ist, sich auf jedem Gelände zu bewegen, um Messungen mit ihren elektronischen Geräten durchzuführen.
OpenKuriosity
Dieses Gerät, das unter dem Namen "OpenCuriosity" getauft wurde, weckte das Interesse der NASA-Techniker an dem internationalen "Hackathon" - einem Ereignis, bei dem Computerprogrammierer zusammenkommen -, das Mitte April gleichzeitig in 90 Städten der Welt stattfand.
Die "OpenCuriosity" wurde aus 500 Projekten der Welt ausgewählt, und nach mehreren Cubs wird sie nun gemeinsam mit 24 anderen - darunter einem anderen spanischen - in der Endphase des Wettbewerbs konkurrieren.
Dieser Roboter ist ursprünglich für die Erforschung des Mars konzipiert, hat die Fähigkeit, Temperatur, Strahlung, Feuchtigkeit zu messen oder die Oberfläche zu durchbohren, um Proben von den Felsen des roten Planeten zu entnehmen. Es ist auch so konzipiert, dass es Anwendungen, die andere Forscher entwickeln, so integrieren kann, dass es "offen" für Innovationen auf der ganzen Welt ist.
Eine der wichtigsten Neuheiten dieser OpenCuri0sity ist, dass jeder Bürger Zugang zu den Informationen hat, die der Roboter in Echtzeit erfasst.
Diese App kann über das soziale Netzwerk Twitter mit dem Namen "@openCuri0sity" bis heute, Montag, 5. Mai, abgestimmt werden.
