
Paul M. Lopez Reyes hat den dritten Preis in der Aufforderung zur Dissertation des Doktorats College of Industrial Engineers in Madrid (COIIM) für seine Dissertation gelesen im Jahr 2013 an der Schule der Industrieingenieure an der Universität Valladolid. Seine Forschungsarbeiten entwickeln Modelle in einer IT-Anwendung, die das Verhalten von flachen Strukturen betrifft. In diesem Abschnitt, der unter dem Titel "Parameter-Formulation und Modell-Updating-Techniken für die elastoplastische Analyse von beschädigten Portalen" steht, hat er komplexe Modelle in einer Computeranwendung entwickelt, die es ermöglicht, Verhaltensweisen von flachen, stabgebildeten Strukturen zu untersuchen.
Die entwickelten Modelle haben einen großen Lehrwert, und in der Tat, einige der IT-Anwendungen in der Dissertation entwickelt wurden über das Internet für ihre kostenloser Download und Nutzung von Strukturen durch Studierende oder Lehrer oder damit verbundene Personen.
Reales Strukturverhalten
In ihrer Forschung entwickelt sie eine Arbeitsweise mit nur vier Parametern des Materials und genügend numerische Informationen, die das tatsächliche Verhalten von Strukturen mit gutem Präzisionsniveau simulieren können.
Dies ist von großem Interesse für die Beurteilung der Widerstandsreserve der Strukturen bei bestimmten Überladungen oder bei Überladungen und Unfällen wie Erdbeben, die es ermöglichen, einen konkreten Bedarf an Strukturinterventionen vorherzusagen.
