Forscher der Universität Oviedo haben ein System entwickelt, das einen neuen Kanal für den Zugang zu E-Learning-Plattformen konventionelle: die Stimme.

 

Der virtuelle Campus über das Mobilgerät ohne Tastatur zu betreten oder die Zugänglichkeit für Sehbehinderte zu dieser Art von Plattformen zu verbessern, sind einige der direkten Anwendungen des vom Forschungsteam entwickelten Systems.PULSO (Pervasive and Ubiquitous Learning and Semintics Oviedo), angeführt von Professoren der Abteilung Informatik Juan Ramón Pérez Pérez y Maria Puerto Paule Ruiz.

 

Derzeit besteht keine der wichtigsten Online-Lernplattformen darin, dass Nutzer über die Stimme zugreifen können. Der Prototyp, der von der Computertechnikschule entwickelt wurde, würde es den Studenten ermöglichen, jederzeit über das Mobile auf ihr virtuelles Campusprofil zuzugreifen und mit der Stimme Informationen wie Notizen, Veranstaltungskalender oder Aufgaben zu konsultieren.

 

"Der Lernende gewinnt an Zugänglichkeit, weil er nicht vor einem Computer stehen muss, um den virtuellen Campus zu betreten und zu nutzen, und so kann er tote Zeiten und Reisen nutzen," erklärt Professor Juan Ramón Pérez. Die These von Professor Victor Álvarez, der von Puerto Paule und Marcus Matthäus Specht (Open University of Nederland in Holland) geleitet wurde, war der Ausgangspunkt für die Idee, die Stimme als einen weiteren Zugang zu virtuellen Lernumgebungen zu verstehen.

 

Die Arbeit des PULSO-Teams wurde im vergangenen Sommer als der beste Vortrag an der ITiCSE 2013 (Annual Conference on Innovation and Technology in Computer Science Education) an der Universität Kent im Vereinigten Königreich anerkannt. ITiCSE ist einer der internationalen Referenzkongresse auf dem Gebiet der Informatiklehre. Diese Forschung ist Teil des nationalen Projekts Improving Performance and Robustness of Dynamic Languages to develop Efficient, Scalable and Reliable Software, geleitet von Professor Francisco Ortín Soler von der IT-Abteilung.

 

 

Überwachung des Lernens

 

Um einen Schritt weiter zu gehen, haben die Asturianer Ingenieure einen multidisziplinären Ansatz des Projekts entwickelt, der es ermöglicht, "das Verhaltensmuster eines jeden Schülers in seinem Lernprozess, der auf einem virtuellen Campus folgt, zu monitorisieren," erklärt Juan Ramón Pérez. So arbeiten IT-Ingenieure mit den Professoren Carlos Núñez und Rebecca Cerezo aus dem Bereich Evolutionspsychologie und Bildung der Universität von Oviedo zusammen, um eine Reihe von Indikatoren zu entwickeln, die es den Schülern ermöglichen, sich ihres eigenen Lernprozesses im System bewusst zu sein, indem sie ihnen Feedback in Echtzeit, um ihre Lernmuster ändern zu können.
