
Der Offshore-Windsektor wird als eine der wichtigsten erneuerbaren Energiequellen, insbesondere in Europa, konsolidiert und boomt sowohl in Asien als auch in den USA. Die meisten Offshore-Windparks, wie das kürzlich in der Ostsee durchgeführte Projekt Wikinger, sind nun mit Jackets - den Plattformen, auf denen die Windkraftanlagen installiert werden - am Meeresboden befestigt. Diese Türme werden nur in flachen Gewässern (höchste Tiefe von 50 bis 60 Metern) installiert, was eine Beschränkung der Entwicklung des Sektors bedeutet.
Dieses Forschungsprojekt, genannt FlowZiel ist es, durch die Entwicklung einer schwimmenden Windkraftanlage und deren Demonstration auf realer Ebene eine Lösung zu finden, die den Bau von Offshore-Windparks in tieferen Gebieten ermöglicht. Das Projekt wird sich mit allen Phasen der Konstruktionstechnik, der Detailtechnik und der Fertigungstechnik einer wirklich schwimmenden Windkraftanlage befassen, mit dem klaren Ziel, das Baskenland an der Spitze dieses strategischen Sektors zu positionieren und die Kapazitäten der baskischen Unternehmen in der gesamten Versorgungskette der schwimmenden Offshore-Windkraft zu stärken.
Das von Nautilus geleitete Konsortium ist Partner von Iberdrola Renovables, Murueta-Werften, Nervión Industries, Navacel, Viciny, CT, Ormazabal, NEM Solutions, Erreka, HWS Concrete Towers, Uniportbilbao, Baskisches Meeresforum und Energiecluster. Das Projekt umfasst auch Tecnalia, IK4-Ikerlan, Vicinay Marine Innovation und OCT als Akteure des Vasca-Netzwerks für Technologie und Innovation (RVCTI).
Im Windsektor verfügt CT über mehr als 15 Jahre Erfahrung in der Konstruktion von Komponentenversuchen, Validierung von Turbinen und Windkraftanlagen, Detailtechnik und Strukturen, unter anderem.
