Um das zu beobachten, was das Auge nicht sieht und wo das konventionelle Mikroskop auch nicht ankommt, entwickelte sich die Atomkraftmikroskopie, die mit der Wahrnehmung der Dinge der Welt betraut ist Nanoskop. Dieses Werkzeug, das Kräfte aus der Reihenfolge erkennen kann Piconewton (das Dreihundertstel eines Newtons) wurde dank einer neuen Technik, die von Forschern aus dem Oberster Rat für wissenschaftliche Forschung (CSIC)

 

Die Verbesserung, die vom CSIC patentiert wurde, wurde durch ein Spin Off der Institution, das Unternehmen Next-Tip. Es besteht aus der Ablagerung von Nanopartikeln der chemischen Zusammensetzung und der Größe, die auf die bereits vorhandenen Sonden für die Atomkraftmikroskopie kontrolliert werden. Der Forscher des Madrider Instituts für Materialwissenschaften des CSIC Yves Huttel, der für die Entwicklung verantwortlich ist, erklärt: "Die Studien haben gezeigt, dass abgelagerte Nanopartikel als effektive Sonden wirken und dass, wenn sie kleiner sind, die Auflösung in Mikroskopie am besten ist."

 

Die Atomkraftmikroskopiesonden sind eines der Schlüsselelemente für die Funktionsweise dieser Art von Mikroskopen. Sie bestehen aus sehr dünnen Spitzen, die die zu beobachtende Oberfläche durchqueren. Die Interaktion zwischen der Spitze und dem Prüfmedium ist diejenige, die Informationen über die betreffende Fläche liefert. Die Technik des CSIC fügt daher die Nanopartikel von Größe und Zusammensetzung an die Oberfläche dieser Spitze hinzu.

 

Huttel weist darauf hin, dass "das Material, das Nanopartikel bildet, auf die Bedürfnisse der Beobachtung angepasst werden kann, die durchgeführt werden soll." Darüber hinaus versicherte der CSIC-Forscher, dass "die hergestellten Sonden sich als verschleißfester erwiesen haben, was ihnen einen besonderen Reiz verleiht für Messungen in extremen Umgebungen, wie z. B. bei niedrigen Temperaturen, Ultrahochvakuum und Qualitätstests in Produktionsketten, wo Zuverlässigkeit ein wichtiger Faktor ist."

 

Die von Huttel und seinem Team entwickelte Technologie stellt nach seinen Worten "eine Alternative zur Herstellung von Mikroskopiesonden für Messungen mit hoher Auflösung und mit reduzierten Kosten" dar.
