Grüner Planet. Grüne Wirtschaft. Grüne Technologie... Es sind die Sätze, die in dieser Zeit verwendet werden, um über zu sprechen "Naturschutz”.

 

Aber 20 Jahre nach mehr als 100 Nationen Sie werden eine internationale Agenda zum Schutz der Umwelt unterzeichnen, und es stellt sich die Frage: Wie sehr ist diese Verpflichtung erfüllt worden?

 

"Wir haben lange so gehandelt, als könnten wir auf unbestimmte Zeit verbrennen und konsumieren, um Wohlstand zu erreichen. Heute erkennen wir an, dass wir nicht so weitermachen können," so der Generalsekretär der Organisation der Vereinten Nationen (UN), Ban Ki-moon, in seiner Eröffnungsrede zur Konferenz über nachhaltige Entwicklung, die diese Woche in Rio de Janeiro, Rio+20, stattfand.

 

Vor zwei Jahrzehnten - bei dem so genannten "Eco-92-Termin" - haben sich die Nationen verpflichtet, konkrete Pläne und Maßnahmen zur Rettung der Umwelt zu ergreifen, die bereits die Zeichen ihrer Krankheit zeigte.

 

Aber die Erwartungen an dieses Treffen wurden nicht erfüllt. Die Gründe dafür sind mehrere, und einer ihrer Auswirkungen ist der Verlust der biologischen Vielfalt, der laut einem Bericht, der in diesem Zitat veröffentlicht wird, Milliarden von Menschen in Gefahr bringt, die von Tier- und Pflanzenarten abhängig sind.

 

In der Studie wird auch die unverantwortliche Ausbeutung von Ozeanen, Seen und Flüssen kritisiert.

 

 

1. Verschmutzung. Die Treibhausgasemissionen stiegen in den letzten zehn Jahren um 3% pro Jahr. In den Entwicklungsländern stiegen die CO2-Emissionen zwischen 1992 und 2008 um 64%.

 

2. Mehr Temperatur. Die globale Erwärmung führte zu einem Temperaturanstieg um 0,4 Grad und zu einer Versauerung (Säure) der Ozeane. Mehrere Wissenschaftler behaupten, dass die globale Temperatur im Jahr 2050 auf 3,5 Grad ansteigen wird.

 

3. biologische Vielfalt. Die Bestände an Säugetieren, Vögeln, Reptilien, Amphibien und Fischen gingen zwischen 1970 und 2008 um 28% zurück, vor allem in tropischen Systemen, mit einem Rückgang um mehr als 60% (30% seit 1992).

 

4. Angeln hat sich verfünffacht. Die Verschlechterung der Fischerei, die zwischen 1950 und 2005 zunahm, wurde laut dem Umweltprogramm der Vereinten Nationen (UNEP) zu einem schwerwiegenden Umweltschaden.

 

5. Weniger Meeresreichtum. Seit 1980 sind die Korallenriffe um 38% zurückgegangen. Nur 7
