
La Universität Alicante Sie entwirft Schutzsysteme für Mikroprozessoren gegen Weltraumstrahlung, die nicht nur für Satelliten und Luft- und Raumfahrtfahrzeuge, sondern auch für empfindliche Bodengeräte eingesetzt werden, deren Funktionsstörungen zu kritischen Problemen führen könnten.
Benannt "Entwicklung hybrider Fehlertoleranztechniken für eingebettete Mikroprozessoren“, dieses Projekt läuft am Informatik-Forschungsinstitut der UAin Zusammenarbeit mit Brasilien (Universität Rio Grande do Soul) und Universität Carlos III. Madrid. Das wissenschaftliche Team besteht aus einer Gruppe von 9 Forschern unter Leitung von Sergio Cuenca Asensi, dem Direktor dieses Instituts. Das Projekt, das zwischen diesem Jahr und 2014 durchgeführt wird, wird vom Ministerium für Bildung, Kultur und Sport finanziert.
Dieser Professor erklärt, dass die Technologien, mit denen die Chips hergestellt werden, "immer anfälliger für Störungen sind, die durch die Umgebungsstrahlung verursacht werden, die aus hochenergetischen Partikeln der Sonne und kosmischen Strahlen besteht, die durch den Aufprall auf die integrierten Schaltungen ihre Funktion beeinträchtigen und katastrophale Störungen verursachen können." "Das Ziel dieses Projekts ist die Entwicklung neuer kostengünstiger Techniken zum Schutz von Mikroprozessoren, die kritische Systeme steuern," fügt er hinzu, sowohl in der Luft- und Raumfahrt (Satelliten, Flugzeuge usw.) als auch auf der Erde (Automotion, Lebenserhaltungssysteme in Krankenhäusern oder Krankenwagen usw.). "Die Anwendung dieser Techniken wird es ermöglichen, auf diesen kommerziellen Mikroprozessorensystemen wie PCs oder Mobiltelefonen zu verwenden, indem sie ihre Kosten durch 100 sogar durch 1.000 teilen," was gegenwärtig 80.000 Euro betragen kann.
