05/07/2013 - Die Universität von Alicante erfindet Handy-Führer für Blinde

Eine Forschungsgruppe der Universität Alicante entwickelt eine Mobiltelefon-App Intelligente Blinde, die es ihnen ermöglicht, Lufthürden wie Zweige oder Markisen zu umgehen, was weder Blinde noch Stöcke tun können.

 

Diese Software, die von der UA entwickelt wurde, wurde von der Vodafone-Stiftung.

 

 

Ermittlung von Flughindernissen

 

Die Umsetzung des Projekts Ermittlung von Flughindernissen (DOA) wurde von der Forschungsgruppe der UA "Mobile Vision Research Lab" der Universität Alicante unter Leitung von Michelangelo Lozano Ortega und Juan Manuel Sáez Martínez und Francisco Escolano Ruiz gegründet. Auch das Unternehmen war an der Entwicklung beteiligt Neosistec.

 

Das System nutzt die Stereokamera einiger mobiler Geräte, um die Tiefe der Hindernisse in der Richtung zu erkennen, in der der Benutzer geht. Es verfügt über eine zugängliche Schnittstelle, die durch Vibration oder Klang der vorhandenen Hindernisse zu warnen. Die Warnung wird häufiger, wenn sie sich dem Hindernis nähert. Die Software ist in ein Smartphone integriert, was für den Benutzer komfortabel und diskret ist. Die Technologie ist durch Patentanmeldung geschützt.

 

Diese Anwendung ist komfortabel und diskret für den Benutzer und einfach zu bedienen. Es wirkt als nicht ersetzende Ergänzung des Stocks oder des Führerhundes, aber lösen seine primäre Begrenzung: seine Unfähigkeit, Lufthähnchen zu erkennen Es ist nicht möglich, die Ausbildung der Hunde, weil sie nicht wissen, die Höhenunterschiede zwischen sich selbst und dem Menschen, den sie führen.

 

Die Erfindung ist in der Lage, Hindernisse durch akustische Signale (durch den Lautsprecher des Telefons, nicht durch Kopfhörer) oder Vibrationen zu warnen, was das System noch diskreter macht, da nur der Benutzer die Warnung wahrnimmt und ihm nicht das Hören beraubt, das Hauptempfinden für einen Blinden.

 

Zu den verwendbaren Geräten gehören so genannte 3D-Telefone mit doppelter Frontkamera sowie ein Mobiltelefon mit einer einzigen Kamera, das ein System enthält, das zwei getrennte Beobachtungen der Umgebung ermöglicht. Die Anwendung nutzt auch die Daten einiger gemeinsamer Sensoren in ihnen, wie Magnetometer und Beschleunigungsmesser.

 

Die Schöpfer dieses Systems betonen, dass diese Technologie in der Welt der Mobiltelefone enorm neu ist, da sie bisher nicht in der Lage waren, echte Maßnahmen aus der Umgebung zu ergreifen, während diese Anwendung 30.000 Messungen pro Frame in Höhe von 9 Frames pro Sekunde auszieht.

 

Diese Technologie wurde von der Vodafone-Stiftung in der siebten Ausgabe ihrer Innovations ausgezeichnet, in der Modalität "Mobile for Good-Anwendung."
