
Russische Wissenschaftler haben erfolgreich ein neues System von Erdbeben und Vorhersagen aus dem Weltraum getestet. Diese neue Technologie nutzt das Satellitennavigationssystem GLONASS Es wurde erfolgreich getestet.
GLONASS ist ein Globales Satellitennavigationssystem (GNSS), die von der Sowjetunion entwickelt wurde und heute von der Russischen Föderation verwaltet wird und das Gegenstück zum amerikanischen GPS und zum künftigen europäischen Galileo darstellt.
Dieses Satellitensystem enthält keine spezielle Ausrüstung, um Erdbeben vorherzusehen, aber mit ihm wurde eine Verbindung zwischen den Bewegungen der Erdkruste und den Veränderungen in der Ionosphäre oder in der Infrarotstrahlung entdeckt.
Prüfungen im Feld
Am 20. Juni dieses Jahres prognostiziert das System ein Erdbeben von der Größenordnung 6,1 in der Richterskala Es kam in den Gewässern in der Nähe der Kuriles-Inseln, am östlichen Ende Russlands. Die Beobachtungen konzentrieren sich auf die Region Kamchatka-Halbinsel, den russischen Fernen Osten und die Kurile-Archipel, die auch Japan umfasst. Die ermutigenden Ergebnisse lassen vermuten, dass in naher Zukunft Satellitendaten zusammen mit traditionellen Methoden der Erdbebenvorhersage verwendet werden.
Im Jahr 2011 wurde das System experimentell betrieben, und ich erkenne die Veränderungen, die durch den Tsunami an den japanischen Küsten verursacht wurden, obwohl es sich derzeit nur um experimentelle Beobachtungen handelte, so dass die Daten, die sieben Stunden vor der Tragödie eingegangen sind, nicht offiziell verwendet werden konnten.
