Parallel dazu hat die multinationale Ölgesellschaft Shell Es ist ihm nicht gelungen, vor Gericht die gerichtliche Anordnung zu erlassen, mit der er die Proteste, die Greenpeace seit Februar dieses Jahres zur Verhinderung der Ölgewinnung in der Arktis durchführte, beenden wollte. Tatsächlich bestätigte das Gericht von Amsterdam, dass die Proteste von Greenpeace im Einklang mit den Zielen der pazifistischen Organisation, Ölbohrungen in der Arktis zu beenden, relevant und angemessen waren.

 

Am 16. September dieses Jahres wurde die Historisches Minimum an arktisches Eis, wie die Wissenschaftler des Nationalen Datenzentrums für Schnee und Eis in den USA bestätigten, gibt dies noch mehr Gültigkeit, wenn Beschwerden mit der Greenpeace-Kampagne die die Verantwortung der Ölindustrie für das Verschwinden des Eises in der Arktis anprangert.

 

 

Sauerstoffball bei der Verteidigung der Arktis


Das Urteil des Gerichtshofs, das für die nächsten sechs Monate gilt, ermöglicht es Aktivisten, Protest in Shells Besitz in den Niederlanden für maximal zwei Stunden zu organisieren, ohne den Kraftstoffverkauf mehr als eine Stunde zu unterbrechen.

 

Das Unternehmen war gezwungen, seinen Antrag zu reduzieren, nachdem der Richter darauf hingewiesen hatte, dass er den Fall wegen einer zu hohen Klage ablehnen könnte, da Shell ursprünglich einen Gerichtsbeschluss verlangte, der Greenpeace-Aktivisten oder Sympathisanten in jedem Teil der Welt daran hinderte, sich legal in weniger als 500 Metern ihres Eigentums gegen Sanktionen von mehr als einer Million Euro zu erheben.
