
Forscher der Forschungsgruppe MicrotechLab vom Campus de la Polytechnische Universität Catalunya (UPC) haben MicroLubGear, ein innovatives automatisches Schmiersystem für Windkrafträder, das es ermöglicht, sie während der Stromerzeugung zu schmieren, so dass programmierte technische Haltestellen vermieden und damit die Energieproduktivität gesteigert werden kann. Das Systempatent wird von den Unternehmen genutzt GT Rivi-LINCOLN, Laulagun Bearings y Klueber Lubrication, und basiert auf der Verwendung von Mikro-Injektoren und löst ein gemeinsames Problem, das in den Zahnrädern der heutigen Windkraftanlagen gegeben wird.
MicroLubGear ist eine technologische Innovation der Forscher Jasmina Casals-Terré und José Farré-Lladós, die geplante Wartungsstopps für die Schmierung des sogenannten Pitchs, das System für den Übergang von Windkraftanlagen mit mehr als 2MW Leistung, vermeidet.

Die Technologie besteht aus Mikro-Injektoren, die in der Nullposition des Pitchs installiert sind, der automatisch die Zähne der Zahnradkrone gleichmäßig schmiert, ohne die Energieerzeugung zu stoppen. Heute gibt es weltweit etwa 53 000 Windkraftanlagen, für die das neue MicroLubGear Schmiersystem eingesetzt werden kann. Die Patenturheber sehen fünfjährige Verkäufe von mehr als 130.000 Einheiten vor.
Produktivitätssteigerung
Eine der großen Herausforderungen für die Energieunternehmen besteht darin, die wirtschaftlichen Verluste zu vermeiden, die durch die Stopps der Windkraftanlagen entstehen. Eine der Ursachen für diese Haltestellen ist die Notwendigkeit, alle ihre Komponenten zu halten. Vibrationen, mechanische Belastungen, Verschmutzung und Feuchtigkeit sind häufig Ursache von Störungen. Diese könnten durch eine dauerhafte Schmierung der Zahnräder vermieden werden, um die interne Mechanik angemessen zu schützen. Daher verfügen einige Windkraftanlagen über automatische Schmiersysteme.
