 World Wildlife Fund (WWF), Zoological Society of London, Global Footprint Network und die Europäische Weltraumorganisation (ESA) haben die neueste Ausgabe des Berichts "Lebender Planet 2012" erstellt, in dem keine Schlussfolgerungen fehlen, die die Unerschütterlichkeit dieser Auswirkungen belegen: Die biologische Vielfalt der Erde hat sich um 30% verringert in den letzten 40 Jahren (60% in tropischen Gebieten).

 

Der unaufhaltsame Verbrauch natürlicher Ressourcen spiegelt den ökologischen Fußabdruck, den er hinterlässt, deutlich wider.

 

 

Die 5 zu vermeidenden Beispiele

 

Katar führt mit großem Vorteil die Weltrangliste an, da es das einzige Land ist, das 10 ha (globaler Hektar) Verbrauch pro Person übersteigt, wenn jeder als Katarium konsumiert, wären die Ressourcen von sieben Planeten wie unserem erforderlich.

 

 

Die hag-Maßnahme stellt einen Hektar mit einer durchschnittlichen biologischen Produktivität dar, und innerhalb der Länder mit einem höheren Index können wir hervorheben:

 

1. Katar, mit 11,68 ha pro Einwohner.

2. Kuwait mit 9,72 ha pro Einwohner.

3. Vereinigte Arabische Emirate mit 8,44 ha pro Einwohner.

4. Dänemark mit 8,25 ha pro Einwohner.

5. Die Vereinigten Staaten mit 7,19 ha pro Einwohner.

 

 

Dies sind die ersten fünf Verantwortlichen für 2008 (Datum mit den neuesten vollständigen Daten) der ökologischen Fußabdruck der Menschheit außerhalb von 18.200 Millionen ha (2,7 pro Person).

 

 

Biokapazität

 

Die erste Schlussfolgerung ist, dass die Biokapazität der Erde (die Fähigkeit, den ökologischen Fußabdruck zu regenerieren) die Fähigkeit der Natur, erneuerbare Ressourcen zu erzeugen und Absorptionsdienste wie Kohlenstoff anzubieten, wesentlich höher ist.

 

2008 betrug sie 12 Milliarden hag (1,8 pro Person). "Diese Lücke," so die Studie, "bedeutet, dass die Erde 1,5 Jahre braucht, um die erneuerbaren Ressourcen, die die Menschen in einem Jahr einsetzen, vollständig zu regenerieren."

 

Spanien ist auf Platz 25 der Welt, was die Umweltschulden gegenüber dem Planeten betrifft.

 

 

Earth Overshoot Day

 

Der Earth Overshoot Day ist der Tag, an dem die Nachfrage nach Ressourcen durch die Menschheit die Fähigkeit des Planeten übersteigt, sie in jenem Jahr zu regenerieren und zu absorbieren. 2011 kam er am 27. September an.

 

Seit den siebziger Jahren des letzten Jahrhunderts hat die jährliche Nachfrage der Menschheit nach der natürlichen Welt das übertroffen, was die Erde in einem Jahr erneuern kann.
