Wissenschaftler der Universitat Politètecnica deValència (UPV) auf dem Campus von Alcoy haben ein neues Produkt aus den Abfällen entwickelt, die aus den aus dem Auto und Lkw-LKW gezogenen Reifen entstehen. Es handelt sich dabei um ein Material, das dem Schallisolierung und Schwingungen reduzieren an Wänden, Böden und Decken, so dass es von Interesse für den Bausektor ist.

 

Forscher am Institut für Werkstofftechnologie auf dem Campus der UPV haben im Labor ein neues Produkt aus Reifenabfällen außerhalb des Gebrauchs von Autos und LKW entwickelt, das Lärm und Vibrationen absorbieren kann. Es ist speziell auf den Bausektor als Material für die akustische und vibrationale Isolierung von Wänden, Böden und Decken ausgerichtet.

 

Wie die Forscher erklären, besteht der Reifenrest aus Gummipartikeln, Metallfasern und Textilfasern. Einige dieser Komponenten, insbesondere Gummipartikel, werden bereits in Kunstrasenfußballfeldern, Spielplätzen und sogar in Asphaltmischungen verwendet, um die Lärmbelastung des Verkehrs zu verringern.

 

"Unsere Idee war es, ein Produkt mit einem höheren Mehrwert anzubieten, indem wir die Textilfaser des Reifenrests, ein Bauteil, das kaum genutzt wird, und dessen Potenzial als akustische Absorption dank einer Studie, die wir in unseren Laboratorien durchgeführt haben, bereits kennenlernten. Die Vorteile dieses Produkts sind sowohl wirtschaftlich als auch ökologisch, da wir auch verhindern, dass Reifenabfälle auf Deponien landen," betont Antonio Nadal, einer der Autoren.

 

 

Herstellungsverfahren

 

Das Verfahren zur Entwicklung des neuen Produkts beginnt mit der Reifenabholung, wenn die Partnerunternehmen es zerkleinern und Gummipartikel unterschiedlicher Größe und Form sowie die verschiedenen Fasern extrahieren. Das Metall wird durch Elektromagnete und das Gewebe durch Luftstrom getrennt. "Sobald wir alle Komponenten getrennt haben, wird das Produkt durch Schichten hergestellt: das erste ist Elastomer (Partikel), das es Konsistenz gibt. Auf dieser Schicht wird die Faser angeordnet und wieder verdichtet. So wird ein Produkt hergestellt, bei dem Elastomer Vibrationen absorbiert und der faserige Teil akustisch absorbiert," erklärt ein anderer Forscher, Francisco Parres.

 

Nach Angaben der Sponsoren könnte dieses Produkt als akustische Absorption mit Produkten des Marktes konkurrieren, z. B. Glasfasern und Polyexpan. "Es hat bessere Eigenschaften als Polyexpan und dieselben wie Faser," so José Enrique Crespo, Mitglied des Teams.

 

Die Forscher arbeiten nun an verschiedenen Mehrzweck-Konfigurationen - mit unterschiedlichen Korngrößen und Dicken -, an der Eskalation des Produkts für größere Handelsteile und an der Optimierung der Produkteigenschaften.

 

An der Entwicklung dieser Arbeit, deren Ergebnisse in der Zeitschrift Applied Acoustics veröffentlicht wurden, nahmen auch das Technische Institut für Ornamente und Baumaterialien (ITROMAC) von Extremadura und die Unternehmen Gummi Verdú de Alcoy, RMD de León, Insa Turbo de Aspe und Recipneu von Portugal teil.
