
Die Ingenieurgruppe SEGULA Technologies weitere Fortschritte bei der Forschung im Bereich der Speicherung erneuerbarer Energien, einer der Technologien, die eine Schlüsselrolle bei der Energiewende spielen wird. Vor fünf Jahren patentierte SEGULA die Technologie RUHE, eine umweltfreundliche Lösung für Massenspeicherung von Energie im Meer durch Druckluft um die kontinuierliche Verfügbarkeit von Strom zu gewährleisten, und begann die Anlage zu entwerfen, die diese Technologie nutzen kann.
Das Unternehmen hat gerade eine neue Phase des Projekts angekündigt, nach dem Erfolg der ersten Funktionstests von einem Prototyp getauft mit dem Namen ODYSEA. Im Technischen Zentrum für Maschinenbau (Cetim) in Nantes installiert, spielt ODYSEA in einer terrestrischen und größenbezogenen Umgebung die komplette Energieumwandlungs- und -speicherkette des REMORA-Systems.
Die Tatsache, dass der Prototyp nachgewiesen hat, dass er die Fähigkeit hat, Druckluft zur Speicherung von Energie und zur Rückgabe an das Stromnetz zu erzeugen, bestätigt die Hypothesen für den Betrieb der Erfindung und ermöglicht es SEGULA, die folgende Herausforderung zu meistern: die Schaffung eines Prototyps in größerem Maßstab unter realen Bedingungen, d. h. auf See. Die Gruppe hat bereits mit der Gestaltungsarbeit begonnen und ist derzeit sucht Industriepartner Sie sind an der Entwicklung erneuerbarer Energien beteiligt, um das neue Projekt abzuschließen, das im Jahr 2023 fertig sein sollte und damit den Weg für die groß angelegte Installation von REMORA ebnet.
Eine vielversprechende Lösung
Das REMORA-System wurde für die Installation ins Meer in flachem Wasser (70 bis 200 Meter tief) entwickelt. Die Lösung ermöglicht die Speicherung intermittierender Energie aus erneuerbaren Energiequellen in der Nähe der Anlage, z. B. Windturbinen oder Solarzellen.
