Eine Gruppe von Forschern aus der Universität Illinois in Urbana-Champaign (USA) hat gerade einen Gummifinger mit Sensoren die es ermöglicht, Faktoren wie Temperatur, Druck oder Dicke eines Materials präziser zu kalibrieren, wodurch der Berührungssinn erhöht wird.

 

Die Ergebnisse dieses neuen Designs wurden in der wissenschaftlichen Zeitschrift veröffentlicht. IOPS Science and Medecine

 

Für die Entwicklung dieses Geräts wurden die neuesten Entwicklungen in der Nanotechnologie verwendet, kurzfristig wird erwartet, dass es nützlich sein in Anwendungen wie Chirurgie. Dieser künstliche Finger ist aus Silikon-Gummi gefertigt, mit einer integrierten flexiblen Schaltung, aus Polyamid-Folien hergestellt.

 

 

Entwurf und Betrieb

 

Dieses Gerät ist mit Goldelektroden in die Innenseite der Folien integriert und verfügt über Sensoren, die das verstärkte Gefühl der Berührung regulieren. Das System wird durch eine kleine Batterie angetrieben, die an das Handgelenk angeschlossen ist.

 

Durch modulierte elektrische Stimulationen werden die Hautgefühle optimiert. Wenn Sie es in den Finger legen, ist ein Kribbeln zu bemerken, das durch kleine elektrische Ströme verursacht wird, die von diesen Sensoren abhängig vom berührten Material geregelt werden.

 

Es wird auch daran gearbeitet, ein System zur Überwachung des Herzschlags bei Patienten mit unregelmäßigem Rhythmus zu entwickeln.

 

 

 

Vorherige Erfahrungen

 

Bereits in den 50er Jahren und in den 70er Jahren wurde die Möglichkeit einer Anwendung bei der Entwicklung von Geräten und Bildschirmen für Menschen mit Sehbehinderungen untersucht, doch dank der jüngsten Fortschritte bei flexiblen elektronischen Sensoren und Systemen konnte die Entwicklung anpassungsfähiger und nichtinvasiver elektronischer Geräte ermöglicht werden.
