Siemens will das weltweit erste Unternehmen der Industrie sein, das ein "Null"-Emissionen von Kohlenstoff 2030. Bis zum Jahr 2020 plant das Unternehmen, seinen CO2-Fußabdruck um die Hälfte zu verringern, der derzeit rund 2,2 Millionen Tonnen pro Jahr beträgt. Um seine Ziele zu erreichen, wird Siemens in den nächsten drei Jahren rund 100 Millionen Euro investieren, um den Energieverbrauch seiner Anlagen und Gebäude zu senken.

 

Mit Investitionen in innovative Technologien wie Energiemanagementsysteme, Gebäudeautomatisierungssysteme und Produktionsverfahren sowie effiziente Energieübertragungssysteme für die Fertigung hofft Siemens, die Energiekosten um rund 20 Mio. EUR jährlich zu senken. "Unsere CO2-Fußabdrücke zu verringern ist nicht nur gesellschaftliche Verantwortung, sondern ein gutes Geschäft," so Joe Kaeser, Präsident und CEO der Siemens AG.

 

 

Handlungsschwerpunkte

 

Um die langfristigen CO2-Emissionen zu verringern, wird das Unternehmen drei weitere Maßnahmen ergreifen. Erstens wird sie in ihren Produktionsanlagen und in ihren Gebäudebüros Energiesysteme einsetzen, um die Kosten zu optimieren. Zweitens wird er emissionsarme Fahrzeuge und Konzepte der elektrischen Mobilität systematisch in seiner weltweiten Autoflotte einsetzen. Und schließlich wird sie sich auf saubere Energie konzentrieren, indem sie neue Energiequellen wie Erdgas oder Windenergie nutzt, deren CO2-Emissionen praktisch Null sind.

 

 

Programm zur Verringerung der CO2-Emissionen

 

Siemens wird sein Programm zur Verringerung von Kohlendioxid im nächsten Steuerjahr starten. Während des Programms werden rund 40 Mio. EUR in 15 verschiedene Produktionsanlagen weltweit investiert, um die Energieeffizienz zu verbessern. Das neue Gebäude des Hauptsitzes von Siemens in München, das auf die Einhaltung der höchsten Umweltstandards, die Erhaltung der Ressourcen und das nachhaltige Bauen abzielt, wird einen wichtigen Beitrag zu diesem Ziel leisten.

 

Das Umweltportfolio von Siemens vereint verschiedene Technologien im Bereich der Energieeffizienz und CO2-Reduzierung. Im Steuerjahr 2014 erzielte Siemens einen Umsatz von 33 Mrd. EUR oder 46
