The child school EMPI helps the environment with a 10 kW photovoltaic plant for direct consumption with Eurener technology

  • It is located on the roof of the child school EMPI in Murcia (Spain)
  • It has monocrystalline modules manufactured by Eurener of 240 W totaling 11.52 kW peak
  • The project has been designed to be amortized in only five years through savings on electricity bill

Self-consumption PV plants contribute to the competitiveness and sustainability with a silent, non-polluting and high efficient technological solution. The EMPI childhood education school located in Murcia City wants to become an example of innovation and sustainable development by installing a 10 kW photovoltaic plant on the roof in the way of direct consumption. The energy produced by 48 monocrystalline modules of 240 W MEPV model from Eurener is consumed on-site for outdoor lighting, classrooms, educational spaces, offices, computer operation, air conditioning systems, loudspeakers and other electric devices. EMPI will receive their students for next academic year giving good example in respecting the environment avoiding the emission of several tons of CO2 per year to our ailing atmosphere. At the same time gets substantial savings on electricity bills and associated taxes allowing fully amortization of investment in just five years.

Performed by Eurener in "turnkey" mode has been commissioned to customize the project with an optimal design for the characteristics and needs of the school, setting the budget and reducing to the maximum the amortization period with a modular system that allows for future expansion in case of increased electricity consumption needs. Hiring "turnkey" means that the client does not have to worry about anything because Eurener handles every phase from writing the project, through manufacture of the modules to install them on the roof along with all components necessary for proper functioning (inverter, structure, wiring, monitoring).

The photovoltaic module is the key to amortize the installation. In addition to maximum power generation capacity is very important the average performance of the product over the years. As time progresses modules "wear out" and lose capacity. Eurener ensures that during the first 12 years of life its performance is at least 90% and from thirteenth year will be at least 80% reaching effectiveness above the average of the market as long-term use.

About Eurener

The company has more than 15 years of experience and three branches: Eurener Italy, Eurener Portugal and Eurener Chile, as well as sales offices in Germany, Ecuador and Brazil. In Spain employs over 150 people and has an extensive sales network throughout Europe. Its first factory is located in Bigastro (Alicante, Spain). In December 2010, they opened its second automated production facility in the town of Torres Vedras (Portugal). In addition to PV modules, Eurener supplies all necessary equipment for complete photovoltaic installations and develops integral solar projects.
