
Der Professor an der Universität Kastilien-La Mancha (UCLM) Oscar Déniz Suárez koordiniert (')Eyes of Things') ein europäisches Projekt für mobile Vision unter der Leitung der Forschungsgruppe VISILAB der Technische Hochschule für Industrieingenieure in Ciudad Real. Die Initiative umfasst acht Partner und wird im Rahmen des Rahmenprogramms "Horizont 2020" mit 3,9 Mio. EUR finanziert.
Die Forschungsgruppe VISILAB der Technischen Hochschule für Industrieingenieure der Universität Kastilien-La Mancha (UCLM) im Campus de Ciudad Real führt ein europäisches Forschungsprojekt an, das die Entwicklung einer mobilen Video-Hardware/ -Software ermöglicht.
Eyes of Things
Das Projekt mit dem Namen "Eyes of Things" umfasst acht europäische Partner (6 Unternehmen, eine Universität und ein Forschungszentrum), wird vom Professor der UCLM Oscar Deniz Suárez koordiniert und wird von Brüssel mit 3,9 Mio. EUR als Innovationsmaßnahme im Rahmen des Rahmenprogramms Horizont 2020 finanziert.
Die künftige mobile Vision-Hardware/Software-Plattform kann unabhängig und auf Computer-Ansichtsgeräten verwendet werden, insbesondere auf sogenannten Wearablen, elektronischen Geräten, die "angezogen" werden, wie beispielsweise einer Brille, einer Uhr oder einem Smart Armband. Darüber hinaus werden Sie mehrere Anwendungen haben, vor allem in Robotik, unbemannte Luftfahrzeuge (UAVs), Videoüberwachung und wearable Kameras.
Während des gesamten Projekts werden die Forscher vier Demonstrationen entwickeln, die eine Anwendung in den Bereichen Sicherheit und Videoüberwachung, erweiterte Realität, Cloud Computing und receptual Computing entwickeln. Die VISILAB-Gruppe, deren Gesamtbetrag sich auf rund 700.000 EUR belief, wird für die Entwicklung von Softwaremodulen und Demonstrationsgeräten zuständig sein.
Zu den Besonderheiten dieses Projekts zählt das Design, das die Verarbeitungskapazität durch Minimierung des Stromverbrauchs des Geräts maximiert. Dazu wird die Technologie des irischen Unternehmens Movidius, Projektpartnerin und Entwicklerin der im Projekt "Tango" von Google verwendeten Computerchips, eingesetzt.
Hinweis darauf, dass die VISILAB-Gruppe Ende letzten Jahres ein weiteres europäisches Projekt für künstliche Intelligenz im Bereich der digitalen Pathologie, AIDPATH, erreicht hat, das von Professor Gloria Gut koordiniert wurde.
