23/07/2013 - Ein Pioniersystem vergleicht Flugbahnen von unbemannten Flugzeugen

Forscher der UNED und Universidad Complutense de Madrid Sie haben ein System entwickelt, das zum ersten Mal Flugbahnvergleiche für unbemannte Luftfahrzeuge -Drohnen-im Simulationsmodus.

 

Das System dient dazu, zu entscheiden, welche Algorithmen für bestimmte Flugmissionen am besten funktionieren, wodurch die Reisesicherheit erhöht wird.

 

Unbemannte Luftfahrzeuge - bekannt als Drohnen- keine futuristische Idee mehr ist und im Himmel präsent ist, vor allem durch militärische Angelegenheiten. "Jahr für Jahr entwickeln und verbessern sich die von diesen Geräten verwendeten Planungs- und Kontrollalgorithmen," erklärt er. Luis de la Torre Cuvillos, Forscher der Abteilung für Computer und Automatisierung der UNED.

 

Diese Algorithmen sind für die Fahrbahn des Fahrzeugs von entscheidender Bedeutung und werden zu ihrem "Fahrplan," da sie ihre Start- und Zielorte oder die verbotenen Überflugzonen umfassen.

 

Trotz der Fortschritte gab es bislang keine Methode, die dazu beitragen würde, mehrere "Fahrpläne" zu vergleichen, die auf verschiedenen Wegen - mit anderen Algorithmen oder durch Anpassung ihrer Werte - erzeugt wurden, ein Vergleich, der die Flugsicherheit erhöht.

 

"Wir haben ein System entwickelt, das in einer ausgezeichneten Weise funktioniert, um diese vergleichende Arbeit durchzuführen," versichert De la Torre, einer der Autoren der Forschung, die veröffentlicht wird in Information Sciences. Das Team, dem auch Wissenschaftler an der Complutense University in Madrid angehören, hat das System dazu gebracht, die Eignung dieser Algorithmen zu analysieren.

 

Die Forschung verwendet komplexe Computermodelle für die Entwicklung von Flugwegen, die für Simulationen mit fiktiven Flugzeugen verwendet werden. So "wird es gelingen, die Kosten jedes Experiments zu senken, was uns ermöglicht, Tausende zu machen," so der UNED-Forscher. Das entwickelte System vergleicht die Ergebnisse jedes Experiments, um festzustellen, welches das beste ist und somit den am besten geeigneten Weg.

 

 

Die Herausforderung der Zivilluftfahrt

 

Um ihre Wirksamkeit zu beweisen, stellten die Wissenschaftler vier verschiedene Flugmissionen vor, bei denen sie ihre Aufgaben erfüllten. 36 verschiedene Algorithmen. Mit den Tausenden von Ergebnissen wurde das neue Vergleichssystem angewandt.

 

"Jeder Planer ist ein anderer Algorithmus, der seine eigenen Regeln benutzt, um Wege zu generieren. Diese passen sich an jedes Szenario an und das Flugzeug muss sie während der Flugsimulation verfolgen," sagt De la Torre. Das System dient daher dazu zu entscheiden, welche Algorithmen am effektivsten sind und für bestimmte Missionen am besten funktionieren.

 

Die große Herausforderung dieser Technologie bleibt ihre Anwendung in der Zivilluftfahrt. "Der endgültige Schritt wird darin bestehen, dass Passagierflüge unter Einsatz von nicht bemannten Flügen durchgeführt werden können," so der Forscher.
