Ein Raupenroboter, der Radioaktivitätssensoren enthält, entworfen und hergestellt von Eduardo Ruiz González, Ex-Schüler der Polytechnische Universität Cartagena (UPCT), war eines der Gewinner-Projekte im letzten Jahr der ersten Ausgabe des Technologie-Basiswettbewerbs IEEE-UPCT.

 

Mit einem Doppeljoystick-Steuergerät, wie dem der Videokonsolen, kann Eduardo sowohl seinen Raupenroboter als auch die eingebaute Kamera fernleiten, eines der vielen Elemente, die dieses Fahrzeug für die Inspektion im Falle von Katastrophen entwickelt hat. Bei allen Katastrophen, unter anderem mit Beta- und Gamma-Radiosensoren.

 

Der Preis in Höhe von 600 EUR soll den Studenten die Durchführung ihres Projekts ermöglichen. "Die Erfahrung, deine Idee in die Praxis umzusetzen, ist das Beste an dem Wettbewerb," sagt Eduardo Ruiz, der seine Selbst-Didakt-Münze zeigen musste, um seinen Roboter zu montieren und zu programmieren. "Ich habe viel gelernt, wie man mich über neue Erkenntnisse dokumentiert," erklärt er. "Um die Schalttafel zu entwerfen, brauchte man viel fortgeschrittenere Elektronikkenntnisse, als wir sie in der Karriere von Teleco gesehen haben, aber ich wurde von Schülern der IEEE-UPCT unterstützt," erinnert er sich.

 

Es dauerte nur wenige Monate, um verschiedene Arduino-Module zu kombinieren, um den Motor, die Richtung und die Kamera des Fahrzeugs zu steuern und die Sensoren für Radioaktivität, Temperatur, Feuchtigkeit, Helligkeit, ultrarote und Ultraschall zu integrieren, die unter anderem Hindernisse und Abstände vermeiden. "Es ist für Rettungs- und Erkundungsaufgaben gedacht," sagt er. "Ich wollte etwas Nützliches für die Gesellschaft tun," fügte der 24-jährige Telekommunikationsingenieur der UPCT hinzu.

 

 

Neue Ausgabe des Wettbewerbs

 

Die IEEE-Studierende-Firma an der UPCT organisiert in Zusammenarbeit mit dem Studentenrat und mit der Schirmherrschaft der Schulen für Industrie und Telekommunikation (ETSII und ETSIT) den zweiten Technologie-Basiswettbewerb IEEE-UPCT.

 

Der Preis für den Wettbewerb besteht aus zwei ersten Preisen von jeweils 600 EUR für die am besten bewerteten Projekte. Der Preisträger (oder das Team mit bis zu drei preisgekrönten Mitgliedern) verpflichtet sich, das vor dem 22. September 2016 vorgelegte Projekt umzusetzen. Die Frist für die Einreichung der Projekte wird bis zum 25. Mai 2016 um 14.00 Uhr verlängert. Die Datenbanken können unter http://www.ieee.upct.es/bases.pdf
