02/06/2014 - Europäische Kommission finanziert ENERBIOSCRUB-Projekt zur Verringerung des Brandrisikos und zur Erzeugung von Biokraftstoffen

Die Europäische Kommission hat die Finanzierung von 225 neue Projekte del LIFE+-Programm, den Umweltfonds der Europäischen Union. Die ausgewählten Projekte wurden von Begünstigten aus den 28 Mitgliedstaaten vorgelegt und umfassen Initiativen in den Bereichen Naturschutz, Klimawandel, Umweltpolitik sowie Information und Kommunikation über Umweltfragen in der gesamten EU. Insgesamt machen sie rund 589,3 Mio. EUR aus, wovon die EU 282,6 Mio. EUR finanzieren wird.

 

Auf ihre letzte Aufforderung zur Einreichung von Vorschlägen, die im Juni 2013 abgeschlossen wurde, gingen bei der Kommission 1.468 Bewerbungen ein, von denen 225 im Rahmen der drei Programmbereiche zur Kofinanzierung ausgewählt wurden: LIFE+ Natur und biologische Vielfalt, LIFE+ Umweltpolitik und Governance y LIFE+ Information und Kommunikation.

 

Das Projekt LIFE ENERBIOSCRUB des CEDER-CIEMAT wurde im Rahmen der Umweltpolitik und des Umweltmanagements vorgestellt, das sich mit Pilotprojekten befasst, die zur Entwicklung innovativer Konzepte, Technologien, Methoden und Instrumente beitragen. Mit einem Gesamtbetrag von 1.889.758 € und einer Kofinanzierung der Europäischen Kommission von 939.279 € (49,7%), die sich auf 9 vom CEDER-CIEMAT koordinierte Partner verteilt, wird vorgeschlagen, sowohl das Risiko von Waldbränden als auch die CO2-Emissionen durch die Reinigung und Nutzung von entwaldeten Waldflächen zu verringern.

 

Neben der Biomasse-Einheit des CEDER-CIEMAT, einem Koordinierungsteam von ENERBIOSCRUB, nehmen an dem Projekt auch andere Forschungszentren wie das INIA (Nationales Institut für Agrar- und Lebensmittelforschung und -technologie), Unternehmen wie MLN (Montes de las Navas S.A.), TRAGSA (Unternehmen für landwirtschaftliche Verarbeitung S. A.), Spanien BIOMASAFOR (Biomasa Forestal S.L.), GESTAMP Biomasa S.L, Genossenschaften wie AGRESTA, Verbände wie AVEBIOM (Spanisches Verband für Energiegewinnung der Biomasse) und lokale Einrichtungen wie die Gemeinde Fabero teil.

 

 

Pilotprojekte

 

Das Projekt, das am 1. Juni 2014 beginnt und im Dezember 2017 abgeschlossen wird, zielt darauf ab, die Risiken von Waldbränden durch nachhaltige Gewinnung von Biomasse aus entzündbaren Düften zu verringern und sie in feste Biokraftstoffe umzuwandeln. Innovative Methoden für die Sammlung und Verarbeitung von Biomasse in Biokraftstoffen, die in Wohn- und industriellen Energieanwendungen verwendet werden, die derzeit in Kastilien und León und Galicien eingesetzt werden, werden bewertet.

 

Die Studien und Bewertungen werden an vier Pilotstandorten mit unterschiedlichen Arten von Buschtieren durchgeführt: drei in Kastilien und León (Garray, Las Navas del Marqués und Fabero) und eine in Galicien (As Pontes). Die Ergebnisse werden es ermöglichen, optimale Ansätze zur Verringerung der Waldbrandrisiken zu ermitteln und Biomasse unter den besten techno-ökonomischen und ökologischen Bedingungen in verschiedenen Situationen zu erhalten. Die Schlussfolgerungen werden weit verbreitet sein, um die Replikation der ermittelten Techniken und bewährten Verfahren zu fördern.
