
Das Biotechnologieunternehmen BIOTIK S.L. im Wissenschafts- und Technologiepark der Universitat Jaume I in Castellón (Spaitec) hat ein europäisches Projekt im Rahmen des Rahmenprogramms für Forschung und Innovation Horizont 2020 erreicht, das es ihm ermöglicht, ein Online-Erkennungs- und Quantifizierungssystem von Legionella zu entwickeln und zu vermarkten.
Das allgemeine Ziel der ULISENS-Projekt (Ultra Legionella Immunoanalysis System for Early Sensing) konzentriert sich auf die Entwicklung und Vermarktung eines automatischen Warnsystems zur Erkennung und Quantifizierung der Legionella-Arten im Wasser. Das vollständig neuartige System integriert ein automatisches Schnellerkennungsmodul, das in der Lage ist, Echtzeit-Analysen auf der Grundlage von Informations- und Kommunikationstechnologien "in situ" durchzuführen, um die Zeit für die Erzielung von Ergebnissen auf ein Minimum zu reduzieren. Dieses System ist völlig innovativ, da es keine Technologie auf dem Markt gibt, die in der Lage ist, eine automatisierte Analyse der Legionella vor Ort in einer Anlage durchzuführen.
Außerdem setzt sie eine schnellere Reaktionszeit ein, mit einer Verkürzung der Zeit um bis zu 99% im Vergleich zu Standardlaboranalysen (1Std vs 288h); höhere Zuverlässigkeit dank der international patentierten und zertifizierten Technologie (Erkennungspräzision über 99%); geringere Kosten mit Verringerungen von bis zu 84% Im Vergleich zu konventionellen Laboranalysen (8€ pro Test versus 50€ pro konventionelle Analyse) ist die Probenahme des Wassernetzes direkt ohne die Notwendigkeit von technischem Personal, das die Probe sammelt und keine gefährlichen biologischen Abfälle erzeugt; außerdem wird es ein Internet-Anschlussmodul haben, mit dem die Nutzer frühzeitig vor dem Risiko der Installation gewarnt werden.
Außerdem wird ULISENS einen Betriebsplan entwickeln, um die größten Engpässe und Hindernisse für die vollständige Vermarktung innovativer Technologien zu beseitigen, insbesondere im Hinblick auf die rechtlichen Aspekte in den einzelnen Ländern; es wird auch Plattformen für die breite Verbreitung der Projektergebnisse und die Analyse von Marktstrategien zur Ermittlung der besten Kombination externer Akteure und internationaler Akteure zur Entwicklung von Synergien bei der Zusammenarbeit bei der Marktausnutzung bieten.
Die Verwirklichung dieses Projekts ist eine große Errungenschaft für dieses Castellonense-Unternehmen, vor allem angesichts der schwierigen Zeit, in der die Forschung aufgrund fehlender Subventionen und staatlicher Unterstützung stattfindet. Im Bereich Biotechnologie wurden bisher nur 7 Projekte der Phase 1 in ganz Europa finanziert, und in Spanien nur 2, eines davon ist die BIOTIK.
