
Iberdrola und das Barcelona Supercomputing Center - Nationales Supercomputerzentrum (BSC-CNS) entwickeln gemeinsam eine wichtige FuE-Initiative mit dem Titel 'Sedar-Projekt (Hochauflösende Windsimulation)'.
Das SEDAR ist ein innovatives Projekt, das darauf abzielt, ein neues IT-Modell zu entwickeln, das die Schätzung der Stromerzeugung in Windparks vor dem Bau verbessert.
Die derzeitigen Modelle haben eine erhebliche zeitliche Begrenzung der Berechnungszeit, und dieses Projekt hat es geschafft, diese Begrenzung mit Hilfe von Supercomputertechniken zu beheben. Darüber hinaus wird das Projekt Verbesserungen bei der Auflösung der physischen Modelle entwickeln, die bisher durch die Berechnungszeiten selbst begrenzt waren.
In einer ersten Phase, die sich bereits in der Testphase befindet, wird das Projekt neue Windkraftanlagen entwickeln, die mit den meisten Garantien in Betrieb genommen werden, da sie die am besten geeigneten Standorte für die Installation der Windkraftanlagen bieten und die Unsicherheit bei der Investition in diese Art von Studien verringern. Diese Phase des Projekts, die mit der Software Alya Green durchgeführt wird, wird in den neuen Offshore- und Offshore-Windparks umgesetzt werden können.
Iberdrola und das Barcelona Supercomputing Center nutzen das Sedar-Projekt MareNostrum, den wichtigsten Supercomputer Spaniens und einer der mächtigsten der Welt. Beide Organisationen haben sich darauf geeinigt, von den BCS-CNS-Einrichtungen aus sowohl die Entwicklung des Modells als auch seine spätere Umsetzung in neuen Iberdrola-Windprojekten durchzuführen.
Das Barcelona Supercomputing Center - National Supercomputer Center (BSC-CNS) ist das führende Zentrum für Supercomputer in Spanien. Seine Spezialität ist Supercomputer mit hoher Leistung, auch bekannt als HPC (High Performance Computing). Sie hat eine doppelte Funktion: Bereitstellung von Infrastrukturen und Service in Supercomputern für spanische und europäische Wissenschaftler und Schaffung von Wissen und Technologie, um sie in die Gesellschaft zu übertragen.
Das BSC ist "Centro de Excellence Severo Ochoa," Mitglieder der europäischen Forschungsinfrastruktur PRACE (Partnership for Advanced Computing in Europe) und verwaltet das spanische Supercomputernetzwerk (RES).
Seit 2004 arbeitet sie an der Entwicklung von Alya, einer Software zur Lösung von Problemen mit mehreren industriellen Anwendungen. Eine der bekanntesten ist das Projekt Alya Red, das die Simulation der Funktion eines menschlichen Herzens ermöglicht.
Das Projekt INNPACTO SC-OPENFOAM ist Teil der SEDAR-Initiative, die vom Ministerium für Wirtschaft und Wettbewerbsfähigkeit finanziert wird, im Rahmen des INNPAKTO-Programms zusammen mit dem Nationalen Zentrum für erneuerbare Energien (CENER), das seine bisherigen Erfahrungen mit der Entwicklung dieser Windmodelle gemacht hat.
