Coro García Alberdi, Telekommunikationsingenieurin für die UPNA, hat er in seiner Doktorarbeit die Entwicklung von ultrasparsameren Kommunikationshardware untersucht, die energieeffizienter ist. Die Hauptanwendung dieser Arbeit sind drahtlose Sensornetze, "wenngleich die Ergebnisse - so erklärt die Autorin der Forschung - für alle Geräte, die mit Batterien oder Batterien betrieben werden, bei denen die Dauer dieser Geräte ein kritischer Aspekt ist, extrapolierbar sind, z. B. für biomedizinische Geräte wie Herzschrittmacher und Defibrillatoren, bei denen eine Operation erforderlich ist, um die Batterie zu ersetzen."

 

These, "Low power channel selection filtering for highly integrated wireless receivers", wurde von Professor Antonio López Martin vom Institut für Elektro- und Elektroniktechnik der Universität von Navarra geleitet und erhielt die höchste Qualifikation: herausragende cum laude einstimmig.

 

Insbesondere hat Coro García an der Entwicklung von analogen integrierten Schaltungen gearbeitet, indem sie Niederspannungstechniken einsetzte und dabei den Schwerpunkt auf ultra niedrigem Verbrauch legte. Die Funktionsweise aller in der Dissertation vorgeschlagenen Kreise wurde experimentell validiert.

 

Was die Anwendungen betrifft, so sind, wie bereits erwähnt, die Netze der drahtlosen Sensoren. Diese Netze bestehen aus Sensoren- und Aktuatorenknoten; die Sensoren erkennen Parameter der Umgebung oder des Individuums (Temperatur, Feuchtigkeit, Druck, Herzfrequenz, Präsenz usw.) und die Auslöser verursachen Aktionen (Ausschalten/Anzünden von Geräten, Öffnen/Verriegeln von Ventilen, Erzeugung biologischer Reize usw.). Die Kommunikation der Knoten untereinander und mit anderen Netzen wie dem Internet erfolgt ohne Kabel durch Funkwellen.

 

Diese Technologie erlebt einen enormen Boom in den letzten Jahren aufgrund ihrer vielfältigen Anwendungen. Insbesondere sind sie ein wesentliches Element für die Verwirklichung der so genannten intelligenten Umgebungen oder Umgebungen mit Umweltinformationen. Dieses Konzept, das mit dem Konzept von Domotika und Urbotik und dem Internet der Dinge verknüpft ist, bezieht sich auf die perfekte Integration der Technologie in die Umwelt (Haus, Auto, Büro, Fabriken, Stadt, Ökosysteme usw.), die den Zugang zu diesem Konzept auf natürliche Weise und jederzeit und überall ermöglicht. "Diese Szenarien erzeugen hohe Erwartungen und starke institutionelle und private Investitionen," so Coro García, "aber viele von ihnen sind heute aus energie- und umweltpolitischer Sicht nicht durchführbar, wenn keine technologischen Veränderungen in der Richtung vorgenommen werden, die von dieser These vorgeschlagen wird."

 

Die Arbeit an dieser Dissertation hat zu mehreren Veröffentlichungen in internationalen Zeitschriften und Kongressen geführt. In der Tat, die Tätigkeit von Coro García Alberdi in diesem Thema begann mit seinem Abschlussprojekt, das von der Navarra Association of Telekommunikation Engineers als das beste Projekt von 2009 ausgezeichnet wurde. Im Bereich Telekommunikation hat die UPNA im vierten Jahr ihres Studiums am Institut National Polytechnique in Grenoble ihren Abschluss gemacht. Mithilfe verschiedener Artikel in internationalen Veröffentlichungen nahm sie an verschiedenen wissenschaftlichen Kongressen und zwei finanzierten Forschungsprojekten teil.
