
Ein Team von Forschern aus der Oberster Rat für wissenschaftliche Forschung (CSIC) hat eine neue Methode zur Herstellung hochwertiger Grafen und Nanomaterialien in Verbindung mit Grafen entwickelt. Diese neue Technik ermöglicht es, Nanometrische und mikrometrische Grafenplatten, deren Anwendungen vom Transport von Arzneimitteln über die Speicherung von Elektrizität bis hin zu strukturellen Materialien, Sensoren und Entwicklungen in der Molekularelektronik reichen.
Diese neue Methode verfügt über ein vom CSIC zugelassenes Patent und wird von dem neuen Unternehmen vermarktet werden Gnanomat.
Graphit-Exfoliation
"Diese Technologie basiert auf der Entwicklung einer neuen Methode für die Graphit-Expolierung, die es ermöglicht, Grafen und Derivate zu erhalten," erklärt CSIC Wissenschaftler Bernardo Herradón, vom Institut für Organische Chemie und Mitglied des Teams, das die neue Technik erreicht hat. "Die Methode, die auf Lösungsmitteln basiert, ist ökologisch und schnell geeignet," fügte er hinzu.

Weitere Vorteile dieser Technik sind laut Herradón: "Er spart Energie, vermeidet chemische Behandlungen, die Materialverschwendung verursachen, verwendet kostengünstige und recycelbare Lösungsmittel, minimiert die Abfallerzeugung, nimmt Stufen im Herstellungsprozess ab und ist nicht giftig." Alle diese Vorteile machen den Graphit-Exfoliationsprozess nach Ansicht des Forschers wirtschaftlich rentabel.
Neben hochwertigem Grafen ermöglicht die neue Technik die Herstellung von Nanomaterialien in Kombination mit Grafen. "Wir haben Grafen mit sehr unterschiedlichen Chemikalien kombiniert: mit Metallen wie Gold und Silber, Metalloxiden wie Titan und Magnetit und Polymeren mit hohem Technologiewert wie Cellulose und Polyanilin," erklärt Herradon.
"Abgesehen von dem Nachweis, dass die Methode auf die Gewinnung einer Vielzahl von Nanoparticularmaterialien anwendbar ist, muss auch betont werden, dass die Kombination von Grafen mit nanostrukturierten chemischen Arten zu Materialien mit einem enormen technologischen Potenzial führen kann: Strukturmaterialien, Elektronikmaterialien, Energiespeicher usw.," erläutert der Forscher.
