
Die Japanerin Hitachi Sie hat gerade ihren neuen Prototypen für Elektrofahrzeuge vorgestellt. ROPITS (Robot for Personal Intelligent Transportation System), ein Fahrzeug bewegt sich völlig unabhängig, sobald die Bestimmungs- oder Herkunftskoordinaten.
Dieses Fahrzeug, das für ältere Menschen und Personen mit eingeschränkter Mobilität ausgelegt ist, fährt über den Bürgersteig und führt den Insassen nach der Eingabe der entsprechenden Koordinaten zum gewünschten Ziel.
Die ersten Feldversuche wurden in der japanischen Stadt Tsukuba (Ibaraki) durchgeführt, wo die Firma Hitachi eine dieser Karten entwickelt hat, die etwa 18 Kilometer in diesem Gebiet abdeckt, und bei den Versuchen erreichte das Fahrzeug die festgelegten Punkte mit einem Fehlermarge von höchstens 1 Meter.

Streckenplanung und Merkmale
Das Fahrzeug, das über die Bürgersteige fährt, ist mit einer 3D-Kamera, Gyroskopen und Sensoren ausgestattet, die Laserstrecken messen, um Fußgänger automatisch zu verhindern oder zu stoppen.
Das Programm kann über eine Elektronisches Tablet mit bestimmten Kartenpaketen wird die Adresse eingegeben, damit der ROPITS ihn dorthin befördert oder an einen bestimmten Ort abgeholt wird.
Es erkennt Schlaglöcher, Stufen oder andere Räume, die ihre Mobilität durch dreidimensionale geometrische Karten auf der Grundlage elektronischer Karten der japanischen Geo-Informationsbehörde und Echtzeit-Daten, die von GPS-Satelliten übermittelt werden.

Nach weiteren Tests zur Verbesserung einer seiner Funktionen wird das Fahrzeug offiziell auf der Robotik-Konferenz vorgestellt werden, die Ende Mai in Japan stattfindet.
