06/03/2014 - Schüler der Universität von Oviedo gewinnen einen nationalen Ingenieurwettbewerb

Ein Team von Schülern der Chemietechnik in der Universität Oviedo wurde mit dem Sieg in der Friendly Competitive Spanisch organisiert von der multinationalen Fluor weltweit innerhalb seiner Ingenieurwoche 2014.

 

Asturianische Ingenieure positionierten sich unter den besten zehn Teams der Welt mit dem Entwurf eines Prototyps aus Büromaterial.

 

Selma Corrales, Guillermo Chica, Ana Jiménez und Darío Menéndez kämpften mit 420 Teams, die an dem Wettbewerb teilgenommen hatten, den Fluor in den 50 Büros des multinationalen Konzerns auf allen fünf Kontinenten veranstaltete.

 

Die Engineering Week ist eine Reihe von Aktivitäten zur Förderung des Interesses an Wissenschaften im Allgemeinen und an Ingenieurwissenschaften im Besonderen, an deren Organisation mehr als 100 Institutionen und Unternehmen beteiligt sind.

 

 

Herausforderung 2014

 

Die Herausforderung, die in diesem Jahr den Teams gestellt wurde, bestand darin, einen Prototyp zu entwerfen und zu bauen, der mit dem einzigen Luftantrieb aus einem oder zwei Ballonen mit einfachem Büromaterial (CDs, Folien, Klebeband, Clips usw.) Gewicht transportieren kann. Die Planung, Koordinierung und Kreativität der einzelnen Teams waren Schlüsselfaktoren bei der Bewertung der Arbeit, die auf die Idee von Cost competitive reagieren sollte. Die Verwendung von mehr Materialien oder mehr Bauzeit beispielsweise bedeutete eine höhere Strafe, während die Fähigkeit, mehr Gewicht zu tragen oder die Fähigkeit, eine bestimmte Strecke zu gehen und zu einem Ziel zu gelangen, einen Bonus in der Endnote darstellte.

 

Die Professoren der Abteilung für Chemie und Umwelttechnik, Susana Luque und José Ramón Álvarez begleiteten die Schüler im Wettbewerb und wiesen auf ihre Fähigkeit hin, als Team zu arbeiten. Neben der Fakultät für Chemie der Universität Oviedo wurde die Tätigkeit vom Chemiekollegium und dem Chemieverband unterstützt.
