Ein Forschungsteam der Universität Salamanca arbeitet an der Entwicklung von intelligenten Anzügen, um die Sicherheit der Bergleute zu erhöhen. Ziel ist es, eine Reihe drahtloser Sensoren, die das Vorhandensein von Gasen oder Feuchtigkeit messen, in den Affen und den Rumpf eines jeden Arbeitnehmers zu integrieren. Ein Kommunikationssystem verbindet alle Individuen, indem es Daten sammelt und Warnungen sendet, wenn es Anomalien oder Gefahren identifiziert. Diese Entwicklung wurde bereits in Chile implementiert, aber die Forscher versuchen, sie zu verbessern.

 

An diesem Projekt arbeitet die Forschungsgruppe BISITE von der akademischen Salmantin Institution, die spezialisiert auf die Integration von kleinen WiFi-Sensoren oder Zigbee in verschiedene Umgebungen. In diesem Fall besteht die Herausforderung darin, sie in die übliche Kleidung der Bergleute zu integrieren, so dass sie sich jederzeit im Inneren der Mine befinden, während das System alle Arten nützlicher Informationen sammelt, wie DiCYT Juan Manuel Corchado, der für das Projekt verantwortlich ist, und Dekan der Fakultät für Wissenschaften, erklärte.

 

"Unsere Technologie wird bereits von der Oesia-Firma vermarktet, die sie an ein chilenisches Bergbauunternehmen verkauft," sagt sie. Die Initiative läuft jedoch noch, weil "wir diese Sensoren in integrierte Komponenten verwandeln wollen, damit sie nicht zu einem Zusatz werden, sondern Teil des Kostüms sind und sogar gewaschen werden können."

 

Die Möglichkeiten dieser technologischen Entwicklung sind unzählig, denn es kann erreicht werden, dass "Kostüme, die in Notsituationen ihre Farbe ändern, mit Audiosystemen und visuellen Alarmen," sagt Corchado. All dies so automatisiert wie möglich, da "ein Bergmann normalerweise beide Hände hat und keine Instrumente manipulieren kann."

 

Die FuE-Arbeit zielt letztlich darauf ab, das System effizienter, robuster und besserer Dienste zu machen. "Wir wollen herausfinden, was notwendig ist, in welchem Kontext und welche Merkmale sie haben muss," so der Direktor von BISITE.

 

Standort und Kommunikation

 

Dazu ist nicht nur die Kleidung des Bergarbeiters wichtig, sondern auch ein Kommunikationssystem, das ein Netz mit Sensoren baut und ihnen Nutzen bringt. Für den Betrieb muss in der Umgebung ein WLAN-Netzwerk oder etwas Ähnliches implementiert werden, um die Lokalisierung und Kommunikation mit jedem dieser Personen zu erleichtern. Auf diese Weise können die Arbeitnehmer Informationen über Warnungen, Notfälle oder andere Informationen erhalten, die ihre Arbeit sicherer und effizienter machen können.

 

"Es geht darum, die Sicherheit der Arbeitnehmer zu gewährleisten, dass sie über alles Bescheid wissen," so Corchado. Gleichzeitig und ohne dass sie etwas tun müssen, sind intelligente Kostüme in der Lage, die Umgebung zu überwachen, um zu sehen, wie sich sie durch Parameter wie Feuchtigkeit, Temperatur oder Gase entwickelt, Informationen, die die Sicherheit stärken und den Entscheidungsträgern mehr Elemente zur Entscheidungsfindung geben.


Die erste Phase dieses Projekts wurde mit Mitteln des Zentrums für technologische und industrielle Entwicklung (CDTI) des Ministeriums für Wirtschaft und Wettbewerbsfähigkeit durchgeführt. Die Forscher warten nun darauf, dass das betreffende Unternehmen die notwendigen Mittel bereitstellt, um die Initiative voranzubringen und zu verbessern oder durch ein neues Projekt Finanzmittel zu erhalten.
