Forscher der Ingenieurschule von der UAB haben eine Vereinbarung von der privaten Finanzierung mit dem deutschen Unternehmen erreicht EPCOS AG, der Gruppe TDK-EPC, für die Entwicklung neuer Lösungen für die Einführung der neuen Frequenzbänder LTE-4G Handy.
Oscar Menéndez und Pedro de Paco, Forscher der Gruppe der Antennen und Mikrowellensysteme der Abteilung für Telekommunikation und Systemtechnik der UAB, haben mit der deutschen Firma EPCOS AG, Mitglied der TDK-EPC Corporation, eine Vereinbarung über den Wissenstransfer getroffen. Das Unternehmen wird die Forschung und Entwicklung neuer Lösungen für Filter und Zweistofffilter auf Mikro-Akustik-Technologien für drahtlose Anwendungen basiert. Das Projekt konzentriert sich auf die Entwicklung von Lösungen für die Einführung der neuen LTE-4G-Bands für Userterminals, vor allem Smart-Phones.
Filter und Doppelgänger sind Elemente der Bandauswahl und spielen eine entscheidende Rolle in den neuen 4G-Smart-Terminals. Diese hochmodernen Terminals werden die Betriebsfrequenzbänder erhöhen und sogar bis zu 21 Frequenzbänder für die fortgeschrittensten Terminals bereitstellen.
Mit diesen neuen LTE-Bands (Long Term Evolution) für 4G-Mobilfunkgeräte werden bis zu zehnmal schnellere Übertragungsgeschwindigkeiten erreicht als bei der aktuellen 3G-Technologie und 100 Mb pro Sekunde in Bewegung. Dies wird beispielsweise die Übertragung und Empfang von HD-Video in Echtzeit von Fahrzeugen ermöglichen.
Das Team der UAB hat die Unterzeichnung der Vereinbarung dank der umfangreichen Erfahrung und Erfahrung bei der Gestaltung von Mikro-Akustik-basierten Filtergeräten für unseless-Anwendungen erreicht. Die Forschungsgruppe konzentriert sich auf die Entwicklung fortgeschrittener Synthesemethoden und optimierter Konstruktionstechniken für die Entwicklung von Geräten, sowohl Filtern als auch Mehr- und Mehrfach-Doppelsystemen.
